PLUG: Now in aluminium. Just as tough as ever.
The PLUG plug-in connector system has been made for use in harsh environmental conditions. For even greater stability and the elegant connection of shielded cables, two of the tried and tested connector types are now available in a new design with an aluminium housing.
Previously all of the PLUG plug-in connectors were designed with a plastic housing. PFISTERER now supplies the tried and tested sizes P2 and P3 of the PLUG angle plug for single and double cable connections with an aluminium housing cover only.
As a result an even higher level of mechanical stability for the plug is attained. This is especially important for very fast assembly procedures, for example when uncoupling locomotive carts when connectors often fall on the ground, or where there is a jerky screwing action. At the same time the aluminium housing allows the connection of screwable attachment for the easy installation of shielded cables.
